Jim Thompson Museum and Bangkok Last Silk Village

This starts with a visit to Baan Krua Nue Community, the last remaining Silk Village in Bangkok. A group of the Cham descendants have woven silk here since the late 1780s. When Jim Thompson moved here after World War II, the two parties formed a collaboration until his disappearance in 1967. Today, Baan Krua Nue Community still keeps its silk-weaving alive. ​Visit the home of Thompson where little has changed, and the house contains an extensive collection of antique objects.​

Wat Po & Thai Massage

Ayutthaya UNESCO World Heritage Site with Lunch

Travel north of Bangkok to Ayutthaya, the former capital of Thailand. Once the center of a vast Kingdom and vibrant trading center, today only the ruins of this magnificent city remain. The ruins are so well preserved that UNESCO has designated the city a World Heritage Site. ​After visiting the ruins, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant by the scenic river.​ On the way back to Bangkok, stop at Bang Pa-In Palace, the beautiful summer palace of King Rama V with a delightful mixture of Thai, Chinese and Gothic architecture. ​

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market & Maeklong Railway Market

This fascinating full day excursion visits the rural floating market of Damnoen Saduak. The canals here are a sensory overload - you'll see small flat boats loaded with seafood, curries, vegetables and other treats for sale. Continue for lunch and on to the unique local market located along a working railway track. The railway became famous for its route through the Maeklong Railway, or the umbrella pull down market.​
